Beech is often used as a substitute
for oak in modern day furniture. Oak is a member of the beech family, so
these are very hard, high quality urns with very consistent light "dash
mark" styled grain patterns. We have "toned" or "stained" these urns
with a light cherry stain to add color (slightly orange like natural
cherry). These are very attractive high quality urns, but many Americans
cannot get comfortable with the term "Beech" and instead order Mahogany
urns from us.
